Will, aka Mr. Bright bazaar often says that "beije is boring", which is not totally unreal, but if we could make it shine? This dim colour can become wonderful, warm, cosy and uber chic!
Since I made these embroidery loops using sequins that I've been wanting to try it on a shirt. Well, this one is not only beije but also very much alike hundreds of other ones, which made it perfect for the experience... and I bought it on the sales, just in case this went wrong.
Materials: shirt, sequins, pins and fabric glue
1. Put on the shirt and pin the centre of the elbows
2. Take it off and measure from the wrist to the pin. Make both sleeves equal.
3. Pin the centre of the body of the shirt
4. Place some cardboard on the inside of the shirt
5. Start drawing/writing on the shirt with the sequins. Hold them in place with pins
6. Glue the sequins but leave the pins to hold the shape in place
7. As for the front, insert a piece of cardboard inside the sleeves
8. Place the pattern on the centre of the elbow
9. Trace a line around it
10. Go round the pattern with your glue and spread it using a brush or your fingers
11. Fill the shape in with the sequins. Press to fix them and let everything dry. After this your new shirt is ready to wear.
This took me about three hours to make (+ drying time) and it was rather cheap: €5.99 for the shirt and €1.75 for the sequins.
